So, Here are a few tunes to get you (meaning my non existent following) through this lovely summer we're about to have!
- Friendly Fires, they are a relatively new band on the scene but have made a cracking first impression with singles Paris & Kiss of Life both getting lots of yummy air time on the radio and channel v. Their sound is up beat british indie, pop, rock, experimental or in other words good old fashioned fun music to jump along to at a party!
- Lykke Li. love, love, love her music. It has a really soft sound without sounding meek or boring. My favorites include A little Bit and I'm Good, I'm Gone ( which is also covered by the previously mentioned friendly fires). I think this more chill music opposed to get up and boogy but i do like it all the same!
Here are a couple more that i do rather love but can't be bothered writing about: Tame Impala, fleet foxes, beach boys,the wombats, lady gaga, franz ferdinand,beyonce, lisa mitchell, arctic monkeys, the white stripes, sarah blasko & the cat empire! All perfect for summer days beside the pool/river/beach/creek/lake/weir.
